Hot off the press! Each week in the Vintage Minute you’ll find exciting news about new product releases from vintage-inspired brands, book releases, retro-themed events and more.

Your new morning commute obsession:

Vintage-inspired cosmetics brand Bésame has launched a podcast called At the House of Bésame. The monthly podcast will give detail on the backstory of Bésame products, announce new collections and products and include appearances by special guests. Each episode will include a gallery with behind the scenes concept art and a deeper look at the development process. The first 32-minute episode explored the creation of the brand’s Mermaid Lagoon collection.

Save this to your Amazon wish list:

Releasing February 12, French Moderne: Cocktails from the Twenties and Thirties with recipes (Rizzoli) by Franck Audoux takes a look at the recipes invented in Paris during the time American expats flocked to the City of Light to escape Prohibition. The book includes more than 40 recipes for classic French cocktails plus archival photographs, illustrations and advertisements.

The spring refresh your makeup bag has been longing for:

LASplash Cosmetics launched an exclusive collection for Ulta inspired by The Great Gatsby. The LASplash “Golden Gatsby” line includes six different styles of 3-D lashes, eight different lipstick shades (I’m feeling partial to Aubrey, a berry purple), six different lip gloss shades, a highlighter palette, a black liquid eyeliner, “The Bee’s Knees” mascara and an eyeshadow palette with 10 shades in a range of foil and matte formulas. Products range from $12-$28. Available online only at Ulta.com.

More fuel to feed your vintage obsession:

Last week, the new website The Vintage Woman Magazine launched. Founded by Jade of the UK’s Scarlet Rage Vintage, the new site features interviews with top vintage style influencers, beauty tutorials, cocktail recipes and more.

Where to spend your next vacation days:

Nashville’s Delinquent Debutantes burlesque finishing school has announced the 2019 Nashville Burlesque Festival. Now in its second year, the festival will be held September 12-15 in Nashville, Tennessee, and will include burlesque and variety performances from around the world. Applications for performers open March 1.
