Noirvember is a special time of year when classic movie lovers around the world celebrate the darker, seedier side of Old Hollywood: film noir. If you’re wanting to join and wondering where to watch film noir for free, look no further. I’ve made a list of the best film noir to stream during Noirvember 2022, from ill-fated romances to hard-boiled detective cases. This list includes mostly 1940s and 1950s noir movies, plus a few from the 1930s, and I didn’t include the films that have really poor reviews.

Thankfully, there are a lot of noir films available to stream on multiple streaming services, in fact, so many that it may be overwhelming to choose one from all of the options. Additionally, some movies require you to rent or buy to watch. This list has the best noir movies that are free to watch on streaming platforms like Tubi TV and Plex, or free with subscription on platforms like Paramount+ and Prime Video.

Keep in mind that the quality of the films on the free platforms may not be the greatest. Also, the free streaming services often have commercial breaks throughout the films. If you’re a big cinephile and want a premium viewing experience, you may want to consider buying Blu-ray editions of some of these classic noir films.
